Biographical / Historical

Francis R. McCabe graduated from Oregon State University in 1934 with a degree in forestry management. He died in Portland, Oregon in 1999. It is likely that McCabe assembled this notebook as a teenager prior to enrolling at Oregon State University. In the introduction to the notebook, McCabe describes the importance of preserving plants that are becoming endangered.
