Historical Note

Janet Milloy Wilkinson and Alexander Malcolm Wilkinson, both born in Scotland, were married in 1869 in Ontario Canada. The couple moved to a homestead in North Dakota in 1882.This family bible was taken by Janet and Alexander's son William Angus to The Dalles, Oregon. The Wilkinson family became active members of the Dalles civic and business communities.

This family bible includes photographs, genealogies, news clippings, and typed family histories that document the migration of the Wilkinson family from Scotland in the 1840s through Canada, eventually settling in The Dalles, Oregon.
